Frozen Membership Roster

What is a Frozen Membership Roster?

A roster that summarizes information on all members as of the 15th of the month.  The information provided includes members’ National Dues, State Dues (if applicable), AD&D and Liability Insurance coverage.  This report is read only and therefore, cannot be modified.

Can I view the summary of my information in the Frozen Membership Roster online?

Yes.   It is called the “Summary Report”.   To view this and other reports online, please visit http://hqsecure.aft.org/frozenmembershiproster  You will need your Personal Identification Number (PIN) located on your per capita report to access your data.

Why is it called the Frozen Membership Roster?

It is read only and only shows monthly summaries as of the 15th of the month as noted.

How will the Frozen Membership Roster be used?

The roster provides a summary of your membership and is used to calculate the per capita invoice.  The membership numbers’ summary in the Frozen Roster will be the number used to calculate the Per Capita Invoice.

What is a Per Capita Invoice?

The Per Capita Invoice calculates the amount of monthly per capita dues payable to the AFT.

How often is the Frozen Membership Roster updated?

Changes made after the 15th of the month in the Membership System (Suite, Lite, Paper Roster, NYSUT & Transfer) will be reflected in the following month’s invoice and accompanying membership roster.

What if the “Source” information of the Frozen Membership Roster is incorrect?

E-mail billinginquiry@aft.org.

Why isn’t the entire address listed for each member in the Frozen Membership Roster?

This report is a summary of your existing membership information.  By shortening the address field, which does not affect your other data in any way, you have the ability to view more information about your members including insurance coverage.

How can I make changes to the Frozen Membership Roster?

This is a read-only document.  Changes can be made by updating your membership data using your membership reporting process (Suite, Lite, etc.).    Updated information will be reflected on your next monthly Frozen Report.

How important is updating my membership information?

Extremely important because the information you submit to the AFT through your membership reporting process will be used to compute your per capita bill.   Deleting members and adding members are important to the billing process and keeping your membership files accurate.

If I have no chapters or multiple chapters in my local, will I still receive the Frozen Membership Roster?

Yes.  All locals will receive an initial Frozen Roster Report.  If you have no chapters, the section for chapter information will be empty.

What is a Detailed  Report?

It contains detailed information on each member within each chapter associated with a local.  Detailed information on each member/agency fee payer will include the name, street address, type of National and *State Dues paid, and insurance coverage information (Occupational Liability, Accidental Death & Dismemberment).

*State Dues only applies to locals in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

What is a Summary Report?

It contains all the summaries for each chapter within a local as well as a summary for the whole local, titled “Grand Total”.  Larger locals will receive summary reports to reduce the amount of paper you receive with your monthly invoices.

What about the Frozen Membership Rosters from previous months?

Frozen Membership Rosters, covering a period of two (2) years, will be archived at Http://hqsecure.aft.org/frozenmembershiproster.

I would like to change my membership reporting to Membership Suite or Membership Lite, what should I do?

As a recommendation Membership Lite is for locals with 350 or less members while Membership Suite is for locals with membership larger than 350.  To get started, you can sign up with either one of these Membership Systems at Membership Registration.

If you experience any problems at the website above, please print out this form and fax back to the training coordinator.  Membership Registration form

Is the information in the Frozen Membership Roster directly linked to my membership data so I can access and modify on a specific member name?

No.  You may update your membership data using Membership Suite or Membership Lite.  Updated information will be reflected on your next Frozen Membership Roster.

Do I have to be on Membership Suite or Membership Lite to view the information in the Frozen Membership Roster?

No.  The Frozen Membership Roster is on a separate application.  Membership Suite or Lite does not have to be opened to view the information.

Can I get fields added to the Frozen Membership Roster?

Not at this time.  Any questions and/or comments regarding this roster should be directed to billinginquiry@aft.org or call us at (888) 8PERCAP- (888-873-7227).
